Tournaments are the ultimate goal for many squash enthusiasts who enjoy playing and competing. There is nothing more thrilling than participating in a well-organized tournament where the matches are evenly matched, the competition is fierce, and the drinks are refreshing. Devoy Squash hosts 4 to 5 major tournaments each year that are listed on the Squash NZ calendar. Additionally, throughout the competitive season, which runs from March to October, there are tournaments held every weekend across the Bay of Plenty and the rest of the country. Since opening in 2011, Devoy Squash has hosted some of the largest tournaments in the country, including district and national eliminations, PSA (Professional Squash Association) tournaments featuring a glass court, Cousins Shield/Mitchell Cup, NZ Champs, NZ Secondary Schools and AIM's Games events, NZ Doubles, World Junior Championships in 2017 and the World Men's Team Championship in 2023.
